IWC Schaffhausen Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun IW389001 – 2020

IWC were one of the pioneers of the use of ceramic in watchmaking, and the Top Gun line has become synonymous with this innovative material. This version of the Top Gun was released in 2016, and in our opinion is one of the best versions released for a few reasons. Firstly, the case size dropped down to 44.5mm instead of the previous generations’ 46mm. The triple date window was dropped in favour of the single window, improving legibility and cleaning up the dial, and dropped almost 1mm in thickness. The current version of the watch has retained these features, but lost the flyback function of the chronograph. This is definitely the sweet spot of the Top Gun Chrono range over the last decade.

This particular piece was sold locally new in March 2020 and presents in mint condition. There is the lightest of marks on the left side of the case, otherwise perfect.

All functions operating as they should. The IWC manufacturer warranty extension to 6 years was taken up by the previous owner, and this will pass along with the watch.
