Here we have the amazing Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar 3940J, one of the most gorgeous high complication watches to have ever existed.

Presented in 18k Yellow Gold, the svelte 36mm case is one of perfect, classic proportions. Patek have somehow managed to create a Perpetual Calendar in a modest 36mm case that somehow does not feel crowded, or overly complex, as well as being highly legible.

Flip it over, and you'll be greeted with the automatic caliber 240Q, featuring a perpetual calendar complication powered by a solid gold 22k micro-rotor and finishing befitting a watch created by whom many believe to be the top of the tree in the watch industry. It's simply a joy to wear, and feels extremely special on the wrist.

This particular 3rd series piece presents in excellent condition and has clearly been well cared for in it's life. The case is thick, and the lugs are even. Hands show some light markings. Please inspect the images and you'll see just what lovely condition this piece is in.

Service history is unknown. Currently running at around +7 secs per day, with all functions operating as they should.

It is presented on a lovely Hodinkee strap, with the original deployant. Having a deployant on another piece may seem like a nice little bonus, but on these it is a lot more than that. These deployants are exceedingly rare, and very, very expensive. If you price one up from Patek I’d advise you have a seat before you do! It is also accompanied by a black 'gator Patek Philippe strap.

Comes with box that doubles as a winder, stamped papers, service guide, instruction manual, document folder, setting pin, solid case back, used Patek Philippe 'gator strap.
