Panerai Luminor Submersible 2500M Special Edition PAM00364 PAM364 – 2014

This is it! The big dog of the Panerai range (excluding the indomitable Big Egiziano, that is…). Released in a limited run of 1000 pieces in 2013, the PAM00364 is a proper Panerai dive watch. It features a 47mm titanium case with a 5.9mm thick crystal allowing a depth rating of 2500 metres. In other words, definitely enough to for a dip in the deep end of the pool.

These 47mm 1950’s cases from Panerai are an absolute favourite in the range for us. The proportions of the case feels spot on, and it makes for a very balanced watch on the wrist due to the titanium construction, and weight disbursement across the wrist. The titanium ensures it’s not super heavy, but it does feel substantial. Just how you’d like your tool-watch Panerai to feel.

The extra thick sapphire creates a wonderful distortion to the dial when viewed on an angle, not unlike a Speedy Pro with hesalite. It adds a warmth not seen in other versions. Combined with the classic Panerai Sub aesthetic, it’s one of the coolest pieces released by Panerai in the last decade.

As above, this particular piece was sold locally in 2014 and presents in excellent condition. Bezel has a scratch and a few tiny marks, and other than that the only hints of wear are some light hairlines and small rub marks on the side of the case. See images for full condition details.
