Tudor Prince Chronograph 79280 - 2005

Here we have a wonderful example of the Tudor Prince 79280 with non-Tiger dial. Considered by a lot of folks to be a ‘Daytona-lite’, it features a 40mm steel case, lovely silver-Panda dial, mounted to a Tudor Jubilee bracelet and powered by the ever-reliable 7750 movement. This version does not have the ‘P’ designation at the end of the model number, indicating it has brushed lugs from factory.

These were produced at a time when Tudor was transitioning to a company apart from Rolex, and the case, bracelet and crown no longer featured the iconic Rolex logo, and helped build the base of success that modern Tudor experiences today.

This particular piece was first sold in 2005 and presents in TZ Very Good condition. The highly polished case and bracelet shows some signs of regular use in the form of light scratches and swirlies, but no dings, dents or scrapes are present. The crystal has a few chips at the top edge. Please see images for full condition details.

The bracelet is the original 62490. It has 12 links, and shows only light stretch.

Service history is unknown, but is currently keeping COSC timing.
