Cartier Tank Solo Large Quartz WSTA0028 - 2021

Cartier has had somewhat of a resurgence of late within the watch collector community, and with very good reason. Not only the originator of the wrist-watch as we know it today, their unfailing dedication to their own aesthetic makes them instantly recognisable, and are deserving of the respect and reverence they command.

Along with the Santos line, the Cartier Tank line is perhaps their most well known, with this iconic line having endured for over 100 years. The design of the Tank was inspired by the Renault FT-17 tanks, hence its rectangular form.

The version we have here is the WSTA0028, a traditional men’s size piece that is also very popular with women due to its versatile 35mm size. This is a rectangular watch, so the 35mm tends to wear quite a bit larger than it’s on paper spec suggests. It features a stainless steel case, Quartz movement, silver opaline dial no date to keep the aesthetic as minimal as possible, and finished off with blued steel hands. Mounted on an elegant leather strap with folding buckle, it’s classic Cartier.

This particular was first sold in May 2021 and presents in TZ Near Mint condition. There’s a couple of small marks on the lower right lug area, and a few light swirl marks but that’s about it. Please see images for full condition details.
