Nomos Metro Datum Gangreserve Ref 1101

We absolutely adore Nomos here at Watch Vault, and they’re regularly our go-to recommendation for watches under 5k. They featuring fantastic finishing for the money, in-house movements, wonderful proportions and stunning Bauhaus designs that are unlikely to be confused with any other brand on the market.

A Red Dot Design award winner, the Metro was designed masterfully by Mark Braun and a wonderful balance between contemporary and classic, with it's hands reminiscent of the Empire State Building at its tips, and the knurled crown being pure Glashutte. The 37mm steel case wears larger than its specs suggest, as with all Nomos, and we'd suggest it is perhaps more like a 39mm on the wrist. Powering it is the DUW 4401 manual wind, with a beautiful power reserve displayed dial side, and a big date masterfully integrated at 6. A lot of watch manufacturers could learn a thing or two from Nomos about the design and placement of these elements, that's for sure!

This piece was originally purchased locally and presents in TZ Excellent condition, with the case showing only some very light hairlines from careful use , and some scratches on the left hand side. Buckle shows some light desk diving marks. Please see images for full condition details.
