Seiko 6138-0017 UFO ‘Yachtsman’

Here we have a very cool Seiko Yachtsman from 1971, also known as the ‘UFO’.

As quoted from Worn & Wound: "No watch collection should be without at least one Seiko 6138 and/or 6139. I don’t care if your daily wear is a Richard Mille or a Rolex Mil-Sub, the 6138’s and 9’s are just so enjoyable to wear that one is missing out by not having one." High praise indeed!

This particular example is in excellent vintage condition. Dial is in fantastic condition, as are the hands. Case is thick, and while it shows some small dings and nicks from it’s 50 years on the planet, it’s in superb condition for its age.

Mounted to an Uncle Seiko President bracelet that will fit roughly a 7in wrist, and suits it to a tee.

Recently serviced by Adrian at Vintage Time. Winds smoothly, and chrono starts, stops and resets as it should. Timed at around +16 secs per day at over 250 degrees of amplitude.

Comes with Watch Vault Cleaning Cloth and Watch Vault travel case.

These are rising in value, and an example as nice as this doesn't come along everyday. Get it while you can.
