Damasko DC 80 Chronograph Pilot Watch Blue/Red

Damasko, like Sinn, are one of those brands which often fly under the radar, but if you're after a proper tough-as-nails tool watch then you really should take the time to get to know them.

This particular reference is the DC 80, a Pilot's Chronograph that is superbly legible, practical, perfectly sized and extremely hardy. The 43.3mm bead-blasted case is made from Damakso's special patented ice-hardened nickel-free stainless steel which is extremely scratch resistant, similar to Sinn's Tegimented cases. It's 4 times harder than most steel used within case manufacturing in the watch industry. Not only is the case hardened, but so are the crown, pushers and bezel. Within this case lies a classic Pilot Chrono dial with a 60 minute Chrono counter that does not utilise subdials, but the minute track, and in this case are finished in blue and red which adds a welcome pop of colour to the dial while also increasingly legibility.

It's powered by a development of the ETA C51-1 known as the DC51, and has very high anti-magnetic properties to go along with its reliability and serviceability. It's finished off with a calf leather strap with hardened pin buckle.

This particular one-owner example was delivered in March 2020 and presents in TZ Near Mint condition. There's some very minor strap change marks on the lugs, and a tiny rub mark on the case back form being rested on it, but that's about it. Please see images for full condition details.
