Konstantin Chaykin Joker Tigre De Cristal

Without a doubt one of the coolest watches we've ever had through the door, and a watch that shows what artisinal independent watchmaking is all about.

Coming from the brilliant mind of Konstantin Chaykin, and revealed in Baselworld 2017, the Joker launched what is now known as the Wristmon series and has since spawned many variations that have become extremely desired on the secondary market.

This particular version is known as the Tigre De Cristal, and was made for a casino of the same name in a limited edition of 188 pieces. It has a 42mm steel case, within which lies the face of a Joker. The right eye rotates around and is used for the hour indicator, the left eye for the minutes. The tongue is a moonphase, adjusted by a pusher in the left crown. It's powered by a modified ETA movement allowing for the crazy time display.

While it could be seen a pure novelty, the watchmaking on display is spectacular, and the use of colours, materials and finishes is extremely well thought out and executed. It's a mesmerising piece of horological art, and isn't this what these things are about?

This piece was delivered in 2020, and it remains in TZ Excellent condition. There's a few small marks on the bezel and case back, and between the lugs shows some rubbing from the strap, but that's about it. Please see images for full condition details.
