Omega Speedmaster 'Silver Snoopy Award' 50th Anniversary 310.32.42.50.02.001

One of the most hotly anticipated Speedy releases of the past decade, the Silver Snoopy Award 50th Anniversary edition celebrates NASA's awarding of the 'Silver Snoopy' Award to Omega for it's contributions to space exploration in 1970.

This edition is the third in the series, and is a very special piece not only for it's celebration of past achievements, but also in that it looks unlike any other model in the vast Speedmaster range.

Featuring the familiar 42mm steel case topped with a blue ceramic bezel with white enamel tachymetre scale, it houses a silver dial with blue PVD markers with an embossed silver Snoopy medallion at the 9 o'clock register. Flip it over, and the case back reveals a little Snoopy magic. Omega says it best:

"...a vision of the far side of the moon has been decorated on the sapphire crystal using micro-structured metallisation. An animated Snoopy in his Command and Service Module (CSM) is shown on a magical hand, which rotates when the chronograph function is used. Behind, an Earth disc rotates once per minute in sync with the watch’s small seconds hand."

The whole shebang is powered by the Omega 3861 Co-Axial manual wind movement.

This particular piece was delivered new locally in May 2022 and remains in brand new condition. Please see images for full condition details.
