Tudor Oyster-Prince Tuxedo 7967

Immortalized on the wrist of Roger Sterling in Mad Men, the 7967 in its Tuxedo dial is now affectionately known as "The Roger Sterling". With it's Tuxedo cross-hair dial, beautifully proportioned 34mm steel Oyster case with twisted lugs making it wear a little larger than its specs would suggest. It's no wonder it was selected as his go-to watch on the series.

This particular example hails from circa-1960 and presents in good vintage condition. The case shows clear bevels with clear stamping between the lugs. Shows wear commensurate with age, but no nasty dings or gouges to be seen.

The Tuxedo dial is in in lovely condition with a very nice patina, with a few scratches and small marks on the outer track, with the inner black portion showing only a few light spots. The no-lume hands are in wonderful condition.

Inner caseback is stamped 1960, which correlates with the serial number. The outer caseback has a beautiful engraving which we think adds to the character.

Bracelet is the a 7205 with 57 endlinks, dated 4/66. Has 9 links, and very little stretch considering its age. These are hard to find in this condition.

Service history is unknown. Winds very smoothly, and is running at about +33 secs per day.
