IWC Portuguese 7-Day Steel IW5001-09 IW500109 – 2007

We’re big fans of the Portugieser line here at Watch Vault, having sold many over the years, and the one featured here is one of our absolute favourites.

A mainstay in the line up for many years, this 7-Day version of the Portuguese features a gorgeous art-deco case measuring in at 42.3mm. The deep black dial features applied Arabic numerals, date register at 6, with small seconds and power reserve indicators balancing the dial perfectly. It’s powered by the fantastic 51011 self-winding in-house movement, free-sprung balance, hacking seconds and features a monstrous 7 day power reserve.

This particular piece was first sold locally in 2007 and presents in TZ Good condition. Recently back from a full service by IWC, the case shows some small dings/nicks which takes the grading down to ‘good’ on our scale, but in reality it’s in extremely good condition after it’s polish by IWC and would be rated at Near Mint if not for the small dings.
