Perhaps the best value high complication watch out there on the secondary market today, the Duometre series from JLC is serious haute horology. Featuring their Dual-Wing concept, the movement features two barrels and two geartrains, regulated by a single escapement. The first mainspring is wound turning the crown counter-clockwise, and powers the complications. The second powers the time keeping and is wound by turning the crown clockwise, which combined allows for more accurate and steady timekeeping with the complications running.

The Duometre comes in several variations, and the version we have here is the Chronograph. When looking at the dial you may be confused by the sea of hands, but once used to it it's very easy to read. The sub dial on the left is your regular time, with the use of white gold hands indicating the function relates to time-keeping. This also goes for the power reserve indicator on the lower left of the dial, and the constant running centre seconds. The right sub-dial features a chronograph with 12 hour counter, 60 minute counter and minute display, with a 1/6th of a second foudroyante seconds complication at 6 and a 60 second chronograph hand at centre. It's power reserve indicator is indicated at the bottom right of the dial, and all hands related to chronograph functions are executed in rose gold.

What makes this particular piece even more special than the regular production versions is the black dial, which pairs perfectly with the 42mm White Gold case, and was limited to 200 pieces. It is in our opinion the most beautiful of all the Duometre Chronograph series.

This particular piece was first sold in 2019 and presents in TZ Good condition. The case and bezel show scratches and scuffs from regular use, and a few small dings and scrapes are present on the bezel. Lugs show strap change marks. Please see images for full condition details.

Comes on an OEM JLC 'gator strap, fitted to the hugely expensive JLC deployant buckle in white gold.

Serviced by JLC in August 2021. Keeping COSC time, and all functions operating as they should. Remains under JLC warranty until December 2027.
