Movado Queenmatic Super Sub-Sea

The Movado Super Sub-Sea is an icon of the vintage dive watch world, and revered by those in the know. What most folks aren't aware of is that there was a ladies version of this watch, known as the Queenmatic Sub-Sea. A fitting name if we've ever heard one.

Utilising a 27mm steel case, it houses a deep black dial with the most fantastic tritium markers and hands aged to a vivid pumpkin sitting atop it. Surrounding it is a bi-directional black bezel, and it's mounted to a historic JB Champion bracelet. Powering it is the in-house 423-1427 automatic movement.

The case is in lovely condition, with excellent finishes and sharp lines. The dial is very good overall, though does show scratches near 1, 3, 4, 7 and 8. Tritium markers are excellent, with little degradation. Hands are also full, with matching tritium which is quite rare given it's quite a large chunk of tritium and would be susceptible to flaking.

JB Champion bracelet is excellent. Shows some stretch consistent with its age. Please note the adjustment in these is made via the clasp. Link removal would need to be performed professionally. Would likely fit a wrist into the high-6 inch range at full length.

Serviced in the last couple of years, it's running at around - 13 secs per day at 270+ degrees of amplitude.
