Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Patrimony 38mm Platinum 82172/000P-9811

One of Vacheron's finest pieces regardless of price, and in our opinion one of the best dress watches on the market full stop, the Traditionelle 38mm small seconds is a special piece in any of its variations, but especially so in platinum.

Featuring a perfectly sized 38mm case in platinum, it measures in at a svelte 7.7mm thick. It's quite amazing how VC has created so much detail in such a thin case, from the flared edges at the lugs to the fluted stepped flanks, and coin edge band running along the lowest edge. It really is phenomenal, and far more detailed that you'd usually see on a dress watch of this size.

Within this case lies anthracite dial which is exclusive to the platinum variant, with applied platinum markers, recessed sub-seconds and spectacular faceted platinum hands. We have personally owned all three iterations of this watch, and was always surprised about how such a thin watch could create so much interest on the dial without the use of physical space for depth.

Powering it is the stunning 4400 AS Geneva Seal manual wind movement, with very high levels of finish, and a lovely winding click.

This particular piece presents in superb condition after a service by Vacheron in 2021. The case was refinished at the time, and shows only minor scuffs and some small scratches. Please see images for full condition details.

Currently mounted to the OEM Vacheron 'gator strap on platinum tang buckle, and also includes 3 x custom Artisan Geneve straps made for the watch. The OEM strap shows wear, and the platinum buckle has scuffs from desk diving.
