Baume & Mercier Capeland Shelby Cobra 1963 10281 – 2017 

Created in conjunction with Shelby to celebrate the storied car manufacturer’s most iconic model, the Baume & Mercier Capeland Shelby Cobra is a lovely tribute to this iconic car. It features a 44mm stainless steel case, DLC coated in the centre, and water resistant to 50m. It has sapphire crystals on the front and rear, and is powered by a La Joux-Perret modified Valjoux 7750 automatic movement.

The dial is really where this piece stands out, with flashes of green, yellow and grey invoking images of the world of vintage racing, with the subtle striping at the bottom of the dial reminiscent of those seen on Fast Fords, and in particular Shelby Cobras.

It’s mounted on a rubber strap on folding steel clasp that suits it perfectly.

This particular piece was purchased locally in April 2017 and presents in TZ good condition. The bezel shows hairlines, as well as a nick on the outer edge at around 9, and some small dings. There's also a small nick on the upper right lug. Please see images for full condition details.

Keeping amazing time at around +1 seconds per day at over 300 degrees of amplitude.
