Up for grabs is a great example of the Omega Speedmaster Mark 40 3520.53

The Mark 40 has been rediscovered over the past few years, due to the 'Hodinkee effect'. It's widely known as the inspiration for Ben Clymer's interest in watches, and the catalyst for the creation of Hodinkee, and subsequently Hodinkee's 10th anniversary homage to the Mark 40.

Regardless of the Hodinkee ties, the Mark 40 is a strong contender for future classic in it's own right. Featuring a 39mm case, triple calendar complication and pops of red, blue and yellow on the dial, it makes for an extremely wearable and fun watch on the wrist.

This particular example is in very good vintage condition. Shows signs around the case and bracelet from regular wear but overall excellent. Please see images for full details of condition.

Movement is running strongly at around +9 per day, with excellent amplitude. Apparently serviced by the previous retailer not long ago, and have no reason to doubt this with the amplitude numbers.

Bracelet is an Omega 1560/852 in excellent condition. Will fit approx 7in wrist.
