So who exactly is Sarpaneva?

Hailing from Helsinki and named after it’s eponymous founder, Stepan Sarpaneva, they are simply one of the coolest independent watch brands in the world. You’ll never mistake their designs for anyone else’s, and they feel very much a product of the distinctive landscape in which they are created.

Launched in 2012, the K0 Ruler of Water is Sarpaneva’s first dive watch. Featuring a spectacularly sculptured 300m water resistance case with 2.5mm thick sapphire crystal, it still measures a svelte 11.2mm.

The movement is an automatic Soprod A10, modified by Sarpaneva. This is concealed beneath a solid case back, engraved with the model name, case design and Sarpaneva’s slogan “One of the Few”. Why “One of the Few?” Most Sarpaneva’s are made to order, and production is handled by a small team of artisans, so you probably wont be seeing another one of these down at the local pub!

The larger 46mm K0 case features the most amazing crown at 4. Don’t let the case size deter you, they wear smaller than the numbers would suggest due to very short lugs and the cut outs in the case.
