Rolex Explorer II 16570 Polar

The current darling of the pre-ceramic Rolex world, the 16570 Explorer has found it’s way out from under the rock it was hiding for all these years and is finally being appreciated by collectors worldwide, and for good reason. In Polar form has long been our favourite of the 5 digit series, with it’s stunning sunburst bezel, black markers rather than white gold as seen on the black dial variant, and that crisp white dial from which it gains it’s moniker.

This particular example is a P-Serial dating from Circa-2000 and presents in very good vintage condition. Case is thick, with clear bevels in place and very nice finishing on the brushed surfaces. Polished surfaces show hairline scratching, with some small dings present.

The bezel shows a good finish, with some scratching, scuffs and small nicks from regular use. Rear of the lugs show some strap change marks. Please see images for full condition details.

Bracelet is a 78790A with 801 endlinks, and 10 links. Clasp code is AB11, indicating it's also from 2000. Shows some desk diving marks, and minor stretch for its age.

Serviced in the last 12 months by Rolex specialist Woods Watchmaking. Currently keeping COSC time, and all functions operating as they should.

Comes with Rolex pouch and Watch Vault cleaning cloth. No box or papers.
