Chaumet 442 Jumbo White Gold watch - 1990

While Chaumet is widely considered one of the finest jewellers on the planet, their watches are largely an unknown quantity amongst watch collectors. While their current collection perhaps feels a touch generic, this early piece is anything but.

Produced by Chopard, the 42mm jumbo case is made of white gold with unusually large 25mm lugs. The dial is a stunning sunburst silver with sapphire inset markers, and is powered by an automatic movement provided by Chopard.

This particular piece is believed to have been produced around 1990 and presents in good condition. The highly polished case and bracelet shows some signs of regular use in the form of light scratches and swirlies, but no dings, dents or scrapes are present.

Hands have some small marks, as does the crystal.

The dial has a few scratches present, and there’s some dust under the crystal in a few spots. Please see images for full condition details.

Service history is unknown. Winds smoothly and is currently running at around -11 secs per day.

Comes with generic Bachmann and Scher inner and outer boxes, as well as import paperwork and receipt from Bachmann.
