Grand Seiko Heritage Spring Drive SBGA469 Rock Dial Blue

Released as an online-only Boutique special, the SBGA469 combines one of Grand Seiko's very best dials of recent years, the 'Rock Pattern' as seen on the Seasons models, and executes it in a deep Indigo Blue named Katsuiro. This colour was favoured by the Samurai, and thought to bring good fortune. It certainly makes for a spectacular dial. The Zaratsu polished markers seem to float above this sea of blue, which looks almost black under most lighting conditions. It's a watch that very much so reveals itself over time.

It is powered by the fantastic Spring Drive 9R65 movement, which is contained within a 41mm steel case and mounted to a stainless steel bracelet making for a versatile, but extremely intriguing, daily wearer.

This particular example was purchased in December 2021 and presents in TZ Good condition. The case and bracelet are largely free of marks, though there is a ding and some pin dents on the left side of the case which is the reason is it considered 'Good' rather than 'Near Mint' on the grading scale we use. A lovely combination of steel case, deep blue indigo dial and one of the coolest GS dials. They don't come much better.
