Nomos Lambda Steel 175 Years Watchmaking 960.S1 LE

We absolutely adore Nomos here at Watch Vault, and they’re regularly our go-to recommendation for watches under 5k. They featuring fantastic finishing for the money, in-house movements, wonderful proportions and stunning Bauhaus designs that are unlikely to be confused with any other brand on the market.

The Lambda is their flagship model, and it really is quite a step on from their other pieces. Now that's saying something! The Lambda has been around for a number of years now in precious metal form, but to help celebrate 175 years of watchmaking in the Glashutte region it was released in limited run of steel pieces which quickly sold out. The aesthetically delicate 40.5mm case houses an enamel white dial in this particular reference, with tempered blue hands for the hour, minute, sub-seconds and power reserve.

As gorgeous as this top-side is, the real magic lies on the reverse with the in-house DUW 1001 manual wind movement with 84 hour power reserve, Swan Neck regulator, hand engraved Balance Cock and stunning Glashutte stripes. It's a stunning thing to behold in person, and has a level of finish and attention to detail seldom seen in in-house movements at this price point. It's a very special thing.

This particular piece was originally purchased locally in March 2021 and presents in TZ Near Mint condition, with the case showing only some very light hairlines and swirlies from careful use. Please see images for full condition details.
