Patek Philippe Calatrava 5196J

The Calatrava line from Patek Philippe is perhaps their most famous, and an absolute contender for one of the most iconic and important dress watches ever produced.

The 5196 series was introduced in 2004, and is simply one of the most beautiful dress watches ever made in our opinion. The proportions are simply perfect, with the 37mm x 8mm yellow gold case featuring a flat bezel, alternating brushed and polished surfaces, and wonderfully elongated lugs with a 21mm lug spacing giving a very strong appearance on the wrist despite it's on-paper specs. It is anything but dainty.

Housed within this magnificent case is a egg shell dial with small seconds at 6, yellow gold hands, hour markers and outer track minute markers. Perfection.

This particular example hails from 2014 and presents in TZ Good condition. The dial is perfect, and the case is in wonderful condition with only some light marks from careful regular wear. There are a couple of very small dings along the bevel lines, and a small nick on the lower right lug area which downgrade it from Excellent to Good on our grading scale. That's a harsh grading though - it is in very nice condition. Please see images for full condition details.
