Perhaps the best value high complication watch out there on the secondary market today, the Duometre series from JLC is serious haute horology. Featuring their Dual-Wing concept, the movement features two barrels and two geartrains, regulated by a single escapement. The first mainspring is wound turning the crown counter-clockwise, and powers the complications. The second powers the time keeping and is wound by turning the crown clockwise, which combined allows for more accurate and steady timekeeping with the complications running.

The Duometre comes in several variations, and the version we have here is known as the Quantieme Lunaire. Featuring a calendar, moonphase, main seconds and 1/6th of a second foudroyante seconds complication. What makes this one slightly more special than the regular production versions is the Grey Magnetite dial, which pairs beautifully with the 42mm Rose Gold case, and is in our opinion the most beautiful of all the Duometre series.

This particular piece dates from 2017, and presents in TZ Excellent condition. The case and bezel show light swirlies and hairlines, but no deep scratches, dings or nicks. Please see images for condition details.

Comes on a stunning brown JLC strap in a short size, fitted to the hugely expensive JLC deployant buckle in rose gold. Also included are two JLC 'gator straps, one in black and the other in brown.

While not a numbered limited edition, it was apparently only produced in a tiny run of 60 pieces, making this is one of the most highly sought after and rarest of the Duometres. Don't miss your chance as it may be a while before another pops up on the open market again.
