Fears Brunswick Champagne

A historically significant English watch brand that was founded in 1846, Fears were unfortunately forced to close their doors in 1976. The brand laid dormant until the great-great-great grandson of founder Edwin Fear, Nicholas Bowman-Scargill, resurrected the company and released their first watch of the 21st century.

For the Brunswick line, Fears took inspiration from their first cushion-cased piece released in 1924. Featuring a steel case measuring in at 38mm with no flat surfaces, with even the solid case back showing a gentle sweep. Housed within this complex case lies a champagne dial which utilises layers of 18k gold to achieve its depth of colour. It is then glass bead blasted to achieve the frosted finish, and topped with black gold coated Arabic indices and blued steel hands. Powering it is an ETA 7001 manual wind movement, and is finished by Fears prior to be installed.

To finish it off it's mounted to a short grey Barenia leather strap that is very supple, with steel tang buckle.

This particular watch is a one-owner piece, was delivered in Jan 2022 and presents in TZ Mint condition, with only the very feintest hints of use distinguishing it from new. Please see images for full condition details.
