Ming 17.06 Slate Dial with Bracelet and Strap - 2020

The 17.06 from Ming was initially released in a copper dial variant and was awarded as the winner of the GPHG 2019 Horological Revelation. It sold out almost-immediately. Fast forward to the end of 2019, and Ming kindly gave all those who missed out on the initial copper run another bite at the cherry, and released the 17.06 in a stunning Slate dial variant. This also sold out, and even quicker this time. This is a trend that looks to have no sign of abating…the world loves Ming!

So what is the 17.06? It’s simply one of the coolest new Independent watches to hit the scene in recent years. Their first watch to use 316L stainless steel for its 38mm case, it has 100m of water resistance, with a beautiful polished finish. The dial is a deep slate grey, with sapphire outer ring and generous amounts of Super-Luminova across this ring, hands and markers. The movement is a top grade ETA 2824-2 regulated and adjusted to 5 positions by Schwarz-Etienne.     

This particular piece was purchased in March 2020 and presents in TZ excellent condition. There’s some small surface marks around the case and case back. Nothing deep. Please see images for full condition details.

It comes mounted on a Ming titanium bracelet valued at 500 CHF, and currently sold out. It also includes the stunning black alcantara strap with blue stitching which is handmade by Jean Rousseau Paris.
