Tudor Prince Chronograph 79260P - 1997

Here we have a wonderful example of the Tudor Prince 79260P with non-Tiger dial. Considered by a lot of folks to be a ‘Daytona-lite’, it features a 40mm steel case, lovely and rare yellow dial, mounted to a Tudor leather strap with steel deployant and powered by the ever-reliable 7750 movement. This version has the ‘P’ designation at the end of the model number, indicating polished lugs from factory.

These were produced at a time when Tudor was transitioning to a company apart from Rolex, and the case, bracelet and crown no longer featured the iconic Rolex logo, and helped build the base of success that modern Tudor experiences today.

This particular piece dates from 1997 and presents in TZ Good condition. The case shows some signs of regular use in the form of light scratches and rub marks, and a tiny ding along the upper right bevel. The bezel has some light marks, and some small dings around its outer edge. Lugs show some strap change marks. Please see images for full condition details.

Service history is unknown. Time keeping is at COSC at around 280 degrees of amplitude. Date change is slow, and ticks over at around 4am. Chrono starts, stops and resets as it should.
